Slowworms spring 2017 Slowworm; Anguis fragilis;,late spring on Buckinghamkshire heathland,I come across these every year as there seem to be good numbers in this area.And early morning before they warm up they are relitivly easy to photograph The bottom one has its tongue out ,which these dont seem to do as often as other reptiles

Rabbits and Orchids Getting ready for a trip up to Scotland so,fairly local again this week.Back to the young rabbits,which is actually a site I have been looking for yellow wagtails,and the lack of success is told in the images being again young rabbits -still they make nice images and these ones seem so tame I couldnt resist.    The orchids are really a couple from an ongoing project,taken earlier in the week at a site in Leicestershire

New web site

 Well finally got to work on the new web site today,        This will be for the foreseeable future run alongside the old one(www.wildaboutphotography.co.uk),and will be aimed more at the fine art print and integrated  e-shop,for a planned expansion of photography related products.   I expect it will be several weeks yet before it is rolled out as fine tuning what I actually want and trying to make it future proof, in as much as can be done with constant new technologies,hopefully it will also have a fresher look to it. I also wanted to find a way to integrate all the social media and Internet activity that now seems to play such a big part in photography,and simplify it so it was all accessible(to the viewer)maintainable and up-datable(By me) from a single place,as I seem to be constantly clicking through a growing list of bookmarked admin pages to do the same thing. Stag beetle larvae and a close call with fire wood   Stag Beetle larvae, Lucanus cervus,feeding on rotting willowThese two specimens had a close call when they where found in some wood being chopped up for the fire-they now have a new piece of wood in a quiet corner ,where they can pupate ,and emerge as adult stag beetles in early summer
